Summary
The Network Analyst I assist with configuring, deploying, and maintaining the network infrastructure.
Responsibilities
- Deploy LANs, WANs, and wireless networks, including routers, switches, and other hardware.
- Configure networks to ensure smooth, reliable, and optimal operation.
- Familiarity with Cisco IOS
- Ensure upgrades of all network hardware and related software are performed timely.
- Monitor network performance and troubleshoot problem areas as needed.
- Maintain network performance history and provide network performance statistics and reports.
- Create new and maintain current documentation.
- Practice network asset management, including maintenance of network component inventory and related documentation and technical specifications information.
- Participate in managing all network security solutions.
- Perform all job responsibilities in alignment with the industry's best security practices and regulatory guidelines to protect the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of protected information and other sensitive data.
Minimum Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED; supplemented by vocational/technical training in Computer Science; supplemented by two years of experience and/or training involving computer network operations and maintenance to include experience working with Cisco products or any equivalent combination of education, training and experience which provides the requisite knowledge, skills and abilities for this job.
Certifications
One of the following or an advanced certification.
- Cisco Certified Technician (CCT) Data Center
- Cisco Certified Technician (CCT) Routing and Switching
Physical Demands
Positions in this class typically require fingering, grasping, talking, hearing, seeing and repetitive motions.
Speical Requirements
Must obtain and maintain CJIS certification
