Summary
- The City of New Orleans, seeks a .Net developer to work on projects in the criminal justice system. The ideal candidate will have experience with the .NET framework, C#, ASP.Net, and other relevant technologies. You will be responsible for designing, developing, testing, and deploying web applications and services using .NET technologies.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain web applications and services using the .NET framework.
- Write clean, scalable code using C# programming language.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design and ship new features.
- Troubleshoot and debug applications to optimize performance and ensure security.
- Test and deploy applications and systems.
- Participate in code reviews to ensure code quality and adherence to coding standards.
- Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and trends in the software development industry.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Demonstratable experience as a .NET developer and application developer.
- Strong knowledge of the .NET framework, C#, and ASP.NET.
- Experience with SQL Server or other relational databases.
- Familiarity with front-end technologies such as HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
- Experience with version control systems (e.g.GIT)
- Excellent problem solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
Certifications such as Microsoft Certified Solutions Developer (MCSD) are a plus.
.Net Framework Experience
- Must have a strong working knowledge of basic .Net language C#.
- Ability to create fast and secure services, websites, and desktop applications on Windows.
- Ability to access and operate class libraries like ASP.Net to develop scalable and secure applications with efficient controls.
Develop Front-End Framework
- Ability to develop applications for web and desktop applications.
- A working knowledge of front-end frameworks such as HTML, JavaScript, and CSS.
Databases Engine
- Proficient in SQL Server.
- Experience in database normalization and design.
- Microsoft Certified Solutions Developer (MCSD)
Computer software to be used
- Office 365, Cisco VPN, Programming Tools.
