Job Descriptions:
Essential Functions
  • The Health Analyst (HA) will assist with administrative efforts and be responsible for the development, implementation, and oversight of various response components, including agreements and contracts with multiple entities, management of public health programs and/or projects, and grant administration. The HA will work closely with Logistics, Contracts and Grants Division, Finance, Vaccine Administration Branch (VAB) Operations, Provider Outreach, or other Public Health program to ensure programmatic, technical, organizational and grant requirements are on track and objectives are met.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Four years of experience in a staff capacity analyzing and making recommendations for the solution of problems of organization, program, procedure, budget, or personnel -OR- one year of highly responsible administrative or staff experience assisting in research and analysis of, and making recommendations regarding the use and deployment of resources and the implementation and refinement of operations and programs;

- and -

  • A valid California Class C Driver License or the ability to utilize an alternative method of transportation when needed to carry out job-related essential functions.
Desired Skills
  • The Health Analyst for the Planning, Integration and Engagement Unit at LADPH is responsible for managing the onboarding/offboarding process for COVID contract staff, tracking and reporting on COVID staff, and providing technical assistance to LADPH programs on budgets, staffing and other administrative needs. They will review program budgets and invoices for accuracy and alignment; develop new procedures as needed; and manage budget tracking for COVID grant funding. This position will also manage relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including DPH HR, Contracts and Grants, and staffing agencies/vendors.
  • The Health Analyst will also supervise two staff, including one Assistant Health Analyst and one Junior Administrative Assistant.

  • Leadership experience and/or supervisory experience; comfortable providing guidance to team members and reviewing quality of work
